Paranormal Activity 4 is a 2012 American supernatural horror film, directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, directors of Paranormal Activity 3, and written by Zack Estrin. The film features Katie Featherston, who starred in the first film, and had cameos in the other two. The film was released in theaters and IMAX on October 17, 2012 in the United Kingdom and was released on October 18, 2012 in the United States, by Paramount Pictures. It is the fourth film in the Paranormal Activity film series, and a sequel to Paranormal Activity 2, set several years later. Despite being a critical failure, Paranormal Activity 4 became a box office success.

Movie Trailer: Trouble with the curve

Trouble with the Curve also known as Back in the Game is a 2012 sports-drama film starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, Matthew Lillard, and John Goodman. The film revolves around a retiring baseball scout who brings his daughter on his final trip. Filming began in March 2012, and the movie was released on September 21, 2012.

This is Eastwood's first acting project since 2008's Gran Torino and his first acting role in a film he did not direct since 1993's In the Line of Fire.

SYNOPSIS

An aging Atlanta Braves baseball scout named Gus Lobel (Eastwood) is given one last assignment to prove his worth to the organization, who sees him as unable to adapt to changes in the business. His boss and friend Pete (Goodman), who does not want to see him let go, asks Gus's daughter Mickey (Adams) to join him on the trip to make sure he's okay, against Gus's wishes. Together they scout a top new prospect in North Carolina, where Mickey begins to take an active role in her father's work to make up for his failing vision, which he has hidden from his bosses. Along the way Gus reconnects with Johnny (Timberlake), a rival team's scout who has a friendly history with Gus, as Gus was the man who scouted him when he was a baseball player, and who also takes an interest in Mickey.

MOVIE TRAILER: Frankenweenie

Frankenweenie is a 2012 3D stop motion comedy-horror family film directed by Tim Burton. It is a remake of Burton's 1984 short film of the same name and is a parody of and a homage to the 1931 film Frankenstein based on Mary Shelley's book of the same name. Like both those films, Frankenweenie is in black and white. In the film, a boy named Victor loses his dog, named Sparky and uses the power of science to resurrect him. The film was released by Walt Disney Pictures on October 5, 2012 and met with positive reviews and moderate box office sales. It was the first black-and-white feature film and the first stop-motion film to be released in IMAX 3D.

Red Dawn is a 2012 American action war film directed by Dan Bradley and written by Jeremy Passmore and Carl Ellsworth, based on the 1984 film of the same name. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki, Isabel Lucas, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The film centers on a group of young people who defend their hometown from a North Korean invasion.

The remake was announced in May 2008 and went into production in September 2009. The film was originally scheduled to be released on November 24, 2010, but was shelved due to maker Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's (MGM) financial troubles. The invading army was changed from Chinese to North Korean in post-production. FilmDistrict picked up the U.S. distribution rights in September 2011 and set a November 21, 2012 release date.

Movie Trailer: Iron Man 3

Iron Man 3 is an upcoming American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Iron Man, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures.1 It will be the sequel to Iron Man and Iron Man 2 and will be the seventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, being the first major release in that franchise since the crossover film The Avengers. Shane Black is set to direct a screenplay he co-wrote with Drew Pearce, which will be based on the "Extremis" story arc by Warren Ellis. Jon Favreau, who directed the first two films, serves as executive producer, along with Kevin Feige.[3] Robert Downey, Jr. reprises his role as Tony Stark, with Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Favreau reprising their roles as Pepper Potts, James Rhodes and Happy Hogan, respectively. Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale and Ben Kingsley round out the film's principal cast.

After the release of Iron Man 2, The Walt Disney Company, Marvel Entertainment's new corporate parent, agreed to pay Paramount Pictures, the distributor of the first two Iron Man films, $115 million for the worldwide distribution rights to both Iron Man 3 and The Avengers. Favreau decided not to return as director, and in February 2011 Black was hired as the film's director. Throughout April and May 2012, the film's supporting cast was filled out, with Kingsley, Pearce, and Hall brought in to portray key roles. Filming began on May 23, 2012 and it was shot primarily in North Carolina, with additional filming in Florida and China. Iron Man 3 is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2013, and the film will be converted to 3D in post-production.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is an upcoming 2013 American action-adventure horror film directed by Tommy Wirkola and filmed in 3-D.

It is a continuation to the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel by the Brothers Grimm. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton have been cast in the titular roles, while Famke Janssen has been cast as the leader of a coven of evil witches that they seek out to destroy.

It is set to be released in 3-D and IMAX 3D on January 25, 2013... Sure you'll like this.

SYNOPSIS

Catching up with Hansel (Renner) and Gretel (Arterton), fifteen years after the traumatic incident involving a gingerbread house, the siblings have grown into vengeful bounty hunters dedicated to exterminating witches. Over the years, the siblings became expert hunters, famous for their proficiency at tracking and taking down their prey. Although still recovering from their ordeal, their work is relatively easy as for an unknown reason harmful spells and curses do not work well against them.

The Mayor of Augsburg recruits them to rid the town and nearby forests of an evil sorceress (Janssen) who is planning to sacrifice many local children at the witches' gathering during the upcoming 'Blood Moon' night in two days time. To make things worse, the duo also has to deal with the brutal Sheriff Berringer (Stormare) who has taken power in Augsburg and conducts a very indiscriminate witch-hunt of his own.

Movie Trailer: The Man with the Iron Fist

The Man with the Iron Fists is a 2012 martial arts film directed by RZA and written by RZA and Eli Roth. The film stars Russell Crowe, Cung Le, Lucy Liu, Byron Mann, RZA, Rick Yune, David Bautista, and Jamie Chung. Set in 19th century China, the story follows a series of lone warriors who are forced to unite to defeat a common foe and save their home of Jungle Village. The film was released in North America on November 2, 2012.

Development began as early as 2005 when RZA shared his idea for the film with Roth. After nearly two years of development by the pair, they were able to secure financial backing in May 2010. Filming began in December 2010 on a $20 million budget and concluded by March 2011. The film was shot entirely in China, including the city of Shanghai. The film's score is composed by RZA and Howard Drossin, and its soundtrack is developed by RZA, featuring several new songs by various artists. A series of concerts were held to promote the film, featuring music from the soundtrack.

Life of Pi is an upcoming 3D adventure film based on the 2001 novel of the same name by Yann Martel.[2] The film is directed by Ang Lee based on an adapted screenplay by David Magee and Martin Solibakke. Suraj Sharma will play Pi. Life of Pi is scheduled to be released on November 21, 2012.

Pi is a 16-year-old boy who is the only person to survive the sinking of a freighter. He finds himself on a lifeboat with an orangutan, hyena, a wounded zebra, and a Bengal tiger.

In this 3D feature based on Yann Martel’s award-winning novel, Ang Lee tells the story of a boy trapped at sea on a small boat with a Bengal tiger.  It’s hard to imagine how such a film would even be possible to make without the aid of state-of-the-art visual effects, and that’s reportedly exactly what Lee delivers.  After its debut at last month’s New York Film Festival, critics praised Pi’s “game-changing use of 3D” as the main reason why the picture is a serious contender in the Visual Effects category at next year’s Oscars.  Rhythm & Hues Studio, which has won that very award twice before for their work on 1998’s Babe and 2006’s The Golden Compass, would be wise to start setting aside some room on their trophy shelf.

Movie Trailer: Rise of the Guardians

Rise of the Guardians is an upcoming 2012 American 3D computer-animated fantasy-adventure film based on William Joyce's The Guardians of Childhood book series and The Man in the Moon short film by Joyce and Reel FX. Produced by DreamWorks Animation and directed by Peter Ramsey, the film will be released on November 21, 2012 in North America, and on November 30 in the United Kingdom. Joyce is also exec-producing, along with Guillermo del Toro.

Rise of the Guardians stars Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Jude Law. It will be the last DreamWorks Animation film to be distributed by Paramount Pictures, as DreamWorks Animation has signed a 5-year distribution deal with 20th Century Fox, starting in 2013.

Jack Frost (Pine) is a carefree boy who has no responsibilities in the world aside from bringing winter wherever he goes. DreamWorks Animation has something special up its sleeve with this adaptation of William Joyce’s The Guardians of Childhood books.  For starters, they hired Hugh Jackman to voice a truly intimidating version of the Easter Bunny with his natural Aussie accent.  That alone seems reason enough to check this one out.  Pair him up with a silent Sandman, Alec Baldwin’s Russian-sounding Santa, Isla Fisher as the Tooth Fairy and Chris Pine as a young Jack Frost, and you’ve got the makings of a magical holiday crossover flick the likes of which we haven’t seen since The Nightmare Before Christmas.  Once again handling art direction duties is DreamWorks regular Max Boas (Kung Fu Panda, Shrek Forever After), with Peter Ramsey stepping into the role of director for the first time.  After spending two decades working his way up in the entertainment biz, Ramsey has the distinction of being the first African American to direct a big-budget CGI animated film.  Here’s hoping things go well for him on opening weekend.
